We visited the Dongguan Famous Furniture Fair 2024 to explore the latest in solid wood, American-style, villa-style, and OEM furniture trends.

Sofa Area
Sofas were one of the most crowded categories at the show. From genuine leather sectionals to fabric modulars, the selection was wide and diverse. Some suppliers focused on high-end craftsmanship, while others leaned into comfort and functionality. Styles ranged from sleek modern to cozy and casual.
Dining Tables & Chairs
This zone brought a range of configurations – some booths focused solely on dining chairs, others on tables, and some offered complete sets. Chair designs leaned modern, with rounded backs and metal legs, while many tables featured luxurious stone tops. Overall, the trend is clearly shifting toward upscale, clean aesthetics.

Beds & Bedroom Sets
Most of the bed suppliers came from Jiangxi, featuring minimalist wood or upholstered styles in calm, neutral tones. Many booths presented full bedroom sets including nightstands and dressers, creating cohesive product offerings. Ideal for those looking for a matching, cost-effective package.

Coffee Tables
Though fewer in number, coffee table exhibitors still brought several eye-catching styles. A few brands showcased full-glass designs in tinted colors, adding an artistic and modern flair. Marble tops combined with slim metal bases were also popular, catering to mid- to high-end interiors.

Accent Chairs
At this year’s show, we spotted many suppliers focusing on stylish accent chairs. The overall vibe leaned toward soft, colorful, and playful designs – with curved lines and plush fabrics being the norm. While the aesthetics varied slightly, many pieces shared similar silhouettes, making them suitable for cozy homes or boutique hospitality settings.
Outdoor Furniture
An entire section was dedicated to outdoor furniture, with a strong showing of suppliers and fresh designs. Products included wicker lounges, outdoor dining sets, sun umbrellas, and more. Most pieces featured durable weather-resistant materials and were displayed in styled mock-up settings – a highlight of this year’s event.
What We Noticed This Year
- More villa-style and leisure-themed living room sets than last year
- Many exhibitors focused on solid wood craftsmanship and upholstery detail
- Customization and OEM branding services were frequently featured
- A shift toward multi-functionality in sofas and massage chairs
